The Cool Irvine Sustainability Fair was a huge success! This event provided information on energy efficiency, disaster preparedness, plant-based diets, rebates/tax credits, water conservation, and solar/battery storage! Our volunteers were excellent and we deeply appreciate all the support from the community and partners! We are so grateful for those who joined us!

Cool OC had an amazing time helping Edward Huang from Youngo, the youth constituency of the UN, organize the annual Local Conference of Youth (LCOY) event!

We had an wonderful turnout and were so inspired to see so many youth show up to learn about climate action!

Cool Irvine hosted its Spring Social and Vegan Cookoff on March 2nd! Participants had the opportunity to learn about the Cool Irvine/Cool OC program and the environmental impact of animal agriculture. Dr. Colin Zhu, The Chef Doc, was on hand to answer questions about the benefits of a plant-based diet.

Guests also enjoyed vegan options from Sajj Street Eats and Veggie Grill and indulged in vegan snacks generously donated by Trader Joe's. The event was a great success, fostering community learning and promoting healthier, more sustainable food choices.

On April 26, 2024, Cool Irvine collaborated with the City of Irvine to commemorate Arbor Day by planting trees, with the enthusiastic support of a remarkable team of volunteers. Let us remain committed to protecting our trees and environment, as trees not only sustain life by providing oxygen and habitats but also protect life by absorbing carbon dioxide.
